last night i finally threw away my last college fibers class project. i’d been saving it to make a mobile but all of the travel between MN, WI and SC really screwed it up.  at one time it was a collection of chrysalis like forms made by tying straw together and wrapping thin handmade paper around the forms before the paper dried- once the paper dried it would shrink and constrict the straw- then i painted the paper with linseed oil to make it translucent.  they were delicate.
