Redux Contemporary Art Center presents // First Annual Spring Education Dinner Party
Date: Friday April 3, 2009 6-10pm Location: Gage Hall, 4 Archdale Street Price: $30 / 2 for $55
Redux Contemporary Art Center is hosting its first annual Spring Education Dinner Party on Friday, April 3rd. The dinner will be at Gage Hall (4 Archdale Street) from 6-10pm. The evening will begin with enchanting workshop tables set up by Nathan Durfee, Geoff Cormier, and Redux. Nathan Durfee will be drawing caricatures of attendees, Geoff Cormier will be demonstrating how to make shadow puppets out of organic and found materials, and everyone will have the opportunity to participate in the large paint by numbers created by Redux! Music for the evening will be provided by Lindsay Holler and friends.
After a year and a half, Jessie Bower, the Education and Outreach Coordinator at Redux, will be stepping down from her position, effective March 27th, 2009, in order to pursue other creative endeavors. This fundraiser event is Jessie’s final contribution to the Education program. Bower hopes it will serve as a thank you to everyone in the community who has helped build this program from the ground up. All proceeds from the night will help Redux continue its mission founded on the education, presentation, and production of contemporary art.
A three-course dinner will be provided by the following sponsors; Caviar and Bananas, Pane E Vino, Lana, Normandy Farms and Gelateria Modica.
Tickets will be on sale at Redux Contemporary Art Center. You may call, e-mail, or simply stop by to pick your tickets up! Only a limited number of tickets will be sold, so get yours fast before they are gone!
